Robbie Brokken had wonderful art presentation in our library on September 27th showcasing her four beautifully created sculptures inspired by woman who have influenced her throughout her life.
“My project is I created 4 sculptures on dress forms representing the 4 women that were the most influential in my life; My Grandmother, Anna Friedman, who taught me to be brave, independent and strong, my next door neighbor, Beverly Panitz who was a painter and inspired me to be an artist, my best friend Rose Senese who gave me the Ocean by letting me stay with her family summer after summer in Montauk, NY, and my dear friend Betsy Holbrook who has been like a big sister to me and has taught me about generosity of heart and obtaining wisdom.
These sculptures are covered with symbolic, vintage items, etc. to represent the women I focused on.”
